The Unveiling Of Truth About Success - 5 Day Devotional (Day 1)

"Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.  For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness."

 - I Corinthians 3:18‭-‬19

Close your eyes for a moment and imagine that you are continuing your current path with the definition of your current success. You continue to work as hard as you work. And you continue to prioritize the things that you prioritize. And you continue to experience tensions that burden you. What will your life look like in three to five years? Is your relationship with your partner stuck or growing? Will your relationship with your children be healthy or empty? What is your mental and physical health like? How about your relationship with God?

If you are like me, imagine your future can be difficult.

Most Christians do not know that they are on the wrong path. Most of us have good intentions for wealth, prosperity and influence, but deep down we know that our hearts are easily knocked out. We somehow forget that our small deviations from God's way of life will become a great canyon in the not too distant future. We don't remember that a small part of the world can block us in its own way. For many of us, this is not an intention. It fades slowly - like lobster in hot water, forgetting to know it's cooked. The key is to get up, repent, and go to God...

And what if I say that success is the opposite of what you teach? What if I show you that everything you believe in performance and achievement is wrong? What if I say you spend your life chasing lies that will only cause disappointment? Will you be offended Are you rejecting my suggestion as wrong?

The older I am and the longer I live, the more I realize that the road to success in culture is just ignorance. That the direction of the majority is actually opposite to maturity. What is popular is almost never great and modern is not better.

The world’s “advice” will often take more than you’re willing to give and leave you in a worse place than you started. For example, most people are in debt, most people watch television, most people look at pornography, most people work for someone else, most people don’t have a retirement plan, most people get divorced, and most people rent their homes rather than own them.

Do you want to be like most people? Me neither.
